Job Title: Certified Nurse Assistant (Nursing)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA) working in a nursing facility or hospital setting, you will provide direct patient care under the supervision of a registered nurse or licensed practical nurse. Your main duties will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting patients with personal hygiene tasks, such as bathing and grooming
2. Feeding and providing assistance with meal preparation for patients
3. Monitoring and recording patient vital signs, such as blood pressure and temperature
4. Assisting with transferring and positioning patients to prevent pressure ulcers
5. Providing emotional support and companionship to patients
6. Assisting with rehabilitation activities and range of motion exercises
7. Following the care plan developed by the nursing staff
8. Documenting patient care activities and reporting any changes in patient condition to the nursing team
9. Maintaining a clean and safe patient environment
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or GED required
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
3. Current certification as a Certified Nurse Assistant (CNA)
4. Good communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced and physically demanding environment
6. Compassion and empathy for patients with varying healthcare needs
7. Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team
8. Basic computer skills for documentation purposes
