Job Title: Certified Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Certified Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons and registered nurses in the operating room. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing and sterilizing equipment, providing surgical instruments to surgeons, and ensuring the operating room is set up and ready for procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare operating rooms for surgical procedures
2. Set up surgical instruments and equipment
3. Assist surgeons during procedures by handing them instruments
4. Sterilize equipment and ensure a clean and sterile environment
5. Maintain inventory of surgical supplies
6. Assist with patient positioning and prepping
7. Anticipate the needs of the surgical team during procedures
8. Ensure the safety and well-being of patients during surgeries
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Surgical Technologist (CST) certification
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Prior experience working as a surgical technologist
4. Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask
5. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
7. Knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
8. Physical stamina to stand for long periods and lift heavy equipment
