Job Title: Medical Assistant (Nursing)
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Medical Assistant (Nursing) to join our healthcare team. The Medical Assistant will work under the supervision of a registered nurse or physician to provide high-quality care to patients in various medical settings. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, a strong attention to detail, and a passion for helping others.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist healthcare providers with patient examinations and procedures
- Take vital signs, record patient information, and update medical records
- Administer medications as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare and sterilize medical equipment
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Perform basic lab tests and assist with phlebotomy
- Ensure a clean and organized work environment
- Adhere to all medical and safety protocols
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED required; completion of a medical assistant program preferred
- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) preferred
- Current CPR certification
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting preferred
