Job title: Medical Assistant (Nursing)
Job Summary:
The Medical Assistant (Nursing) will assist nurses and other healthcare professionals in providing patient care in a clinical setting. This role requires strong clinical skills, attention to detail, and excellent communication abilities.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist nurses and healthcare providers in conducting patient assessments and exams
- Take vital signs and record patient information accurately
- Administer medications and vaccines as directed by healthcare providers
- Prepare patients for procedures and assist with minor medical procedures
- Educate patients on treatment plans and medication instructions
- Maintain clean and organized clinical work areas
- Update and maintain patient medical records
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) credential
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Relevant experience in a clinical setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and basic clinical procedures
- Attention to detail and ability to multi-task
- CPR certification
