Job title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse to join our Medical/Surgical unit. The ideal candidate will provide personalized care to patients undergoing medical and surgical procedures while collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patients' conditions and vital signs.
2. Administer medications and treatments according to physician orders.
3. Collaborate with physicians and healthcare team members to develop individualized care plans.
4. Educate patients and families on post-procedure care and recovery.
5. Maintain accurate and detailed medical records.
6. Monitor and assist with patient comfort and safety.
7. Assist with surgical procedures and post-operative care as needed.
8. Respond to emergencies and provide lifesaving interventions.
9. Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
10. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice.
2. BLS certification.
3. ACLS certification preferred.
4. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
7. Attention to detail and critical thinking skills.
8. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively.
9. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of medical/surgical nursing practices.
10. Willingness to collaborate with a diverse team of healthcare professionals.
