Job Title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. The Registered Nurse will be responsible for providing quality patient care in a fast-paced environment, collaborating with doctors and other healthcare professionals, and ensuring the overall well-being of patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients' medical conditions and providing appropriate treatments.
2. Administering medications and performing procedures as needed.
3. Monitoring vital signs and patient progress.
4. Educating patients and their families on health conditions and treatments.
5. Collaborating with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient care.
6. Maintaining accurate patient records and documentation.
7. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures.
8. Assisting with patient admissions, discharges, and transfers.
9. Providing emotional support to patients and their families.
10. Keeping up to date with the latest medical advancements and best practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Active Registered Nurse license in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing.
3. BLS certification.
4. ACLS certification preferred.
5. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
7. Critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
8. Ability to multitask and prioritize effectively.
9. Strong attention to detail.
10. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
