Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Catheterization Laboratory team. As a Cardiac Cath Lab Nurse, you will work closely with the cardiovascular team to provide exceptional patient care during diagnostic, interventional, and therapeutic procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist with pre-procedure assessment, preparation, and education of patients undergoing cardiac catheterization
- Monitor patients during procedures, including vital signs, EKG, and hemodynamic status
- Administer medications as ordered by the physician
- Assist with insertion and removal of catheters and devices
- Provide support and education to patients and their families before, during, and after procedures
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Ensure adherence to infection control protocols and safety practices
- Document patient assessment, interventions, and outcomes accurately and timely
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- 2+ years of experience in critical care or cardiac nursing preferred
- Experience working in a cardiac cath lab setting is a plus
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-stress environment
