Job title: Registered Nurse - Medical/Surgical
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our medical/surgical team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in a fast-paced and challenging environment. The Registered Nurse will work closely with physicians, other healthcare professionals, and patients to ensure the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform assessments and develop care plans for patients in the medical/surgical unit
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor patient vital signs and condition, and report any changes to the healthcare team
- Educate patients and their families on healthcare procedures and treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety and confidentiality
- Participate in continuing education and training to stay current on medical/surgical best practices
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in medical/surgical nursing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Excellent critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care
