Job Title: Registered Nurse - Med Surg / Telemetry
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg / Telemetry team. The ideal candidate will provide quality care to patients in the medical surgical and telemetry units, utilizing their nursing skills and knowledge to ensure positive patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and monitor patients' conditions, collaborating with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Perform procedures such as IV insertion, catheterization, and wound care
- Educate patients and their families on disease management, medications, and self-care techniques
- Document all patient care activities accurately and in a timely manner
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure continuity of care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Previous experience in a medical surgical and telemetry setting preferred
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks
