Job Title: Registered Nurse - Cardiac Cath Lab
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Cardiac Cath Lab team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in procedures such as angioplasties, stent placements, and cardiac catheterizations. You will work closely with cardiologists, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to provide exceptional care to patients undergoing cardiac procedures.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist in preparing patients for procedures and provide post-procedure care
2. Monitor patients during procedures and provide support as needed
3. Administer medications and IVs as directed by the cardiologist
4. Document patient information and update medical records accurately
5. Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure safe and effective patient care
6. Maintain equipment and supplies in the Cardiac Cath Lab
7. Educate patients and families about cardiac procedures and post-procedure care
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Prior experience in a Cardiac Cath Lab or critical care setting preferred
3. BLS and ACLS certification required
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks efficiently
6. Attention to detail and strong critical thinking skills
7. Ability to work effectively in a team environment
