Job Title: Registered Nurse RN- OR Circulator/Pre-Op/PACU In Lamar, CO
Job Summary:
We are seeking a Registered Nurse RN with OR Circulator, Pre-Op and PACU experience for a full-time position in Lamar, CO. In this role, you will be responsible for providing care to patients before, during, and after surgical procedures. Your primary duty will be to ensure the safety and comfort of patients during surgery and throughout their recovery process.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Preparing patients for surgery by performing assessments and ensuring all necessary tests and paperwork are completed
- Administering medications, fluids, and anesthesia as directed by the anesthesiologist or surgeon
- Monitoring patients' vital signs and reacting appropriately to changes in their condition
- Preparing and maintaining the surgical environment by setting up equipment and supplies
- Assisting the surgeon during the procedure by passing instruments, monitoring patient positioning, and providing other support as needed
- Assisting with the transfer of patients to the PACU and providing care during their recovery period
- Communicating with patients and their families about their care plan, medications, and progress
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of Colorado
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in OR Circulator, Pre-Op, and PACU
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Ability to perform and interpret EKGs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and remain calm under pressure
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods of time
