Job Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Department RN
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly-skilled and compassionate Emergency Department RN to provide exceptional patient care in Viroqua, WI. The ideal candidate will be responsible for assessing patient conditions, creating effective care plans, administering medications, and performs diagnostic tests as required.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Conduct initial patient screenings and assessments
- Collaborate with physicians and multidisciplinary team members
- Administer medications and provide treatments as ordered
- Obtain patient vital signs and monitor changes in health status
- Document and maintain accurate patient medical records
- Educate patients and their families on proper home healthcare strategies
- Maintain a safe, sterile and organized work environment
- Assess patients for potential emergency conditions in a timely and effective manner
- Collaborate with providers for diagnostic testing, procedures and transfer arrangements
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of Wisconsin
- CPR and ACLS certification
- 2 years of Emergency Department nursing experience preferred
- Ability to handle stressful and high-pressure situations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to multitask and prioritize patient care needs
- Willingness to work in a team-oriented environment
- BSN preferred
