Job Title: Registered Nurse Inpatient Dialysis RN
Job Summary: A Registered Nurse Inpatient Dialysis RN provides direct patient care to individuals suffering from renal diseases. The responsibilities include administering dialysis treatments, monitoring the vital signs, assessing patient’s well-being, and following infection control measures. The role also involves educating and supporting patients and their families regarding treatment options, dialysis, and diet.
Responsibilities and Duties:
• Administer and monitor dialysis treatments to patients
• Assess patient’s vital signs, fluid status, and provide appropriate interventions
• Document patient care in medical records promptly
• Educate patients on diet and treatment options
• Communicate with the healthcare team members, including physicians, social workers, and dieticians
• Perform patient assessments and develop individualized care plans
• Ensure infection control measures are followed during the dialysis procedure
• Respond to emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
• Monitor and record patients' responses during and after dialysis treatments
Qualifications and Skills:
• Current RN License
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Dialysis
• Dialysis certification (preferred)
• Possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced setting
• Must have a good understanding of medical terminologies and computer skills
