Job Title: CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant)
Job Summary:
As a CNA LTC (Certified Nursing Assistant) in a Long-Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assistance with daily activities under the supervision of licensed healthcare professionals. Your role is crucial in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of residents in a long-term care setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assisting residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and toileting.
2. Monitoring and recording vital signs, input and output, and changes in patient condition.
3. Providing emotional support and companionship to residents.
4. Assisting with feeding and hydration as needed.
5. Turning and repositioning bedridden residents to prevent pressure ulcers.
6. Assisting with range of motion exercises and ambulation.
7. Keeping patient rooms clean and organized.
8. Reporting any changes in resident status to nursing staff.
9. Following care plans and communicating with the healthcare team.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
2. Current CNA certification.
3. Good communication and interpersonal skills.
4. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
5. Compassionate and patient-centered care approach.
6. Ability to follow instructions and work well in a team.
7. Basic knowledge of medical terminology.
8. Physical stamina to lift and move residents.
9. CPR certification.
