Job Title: Registered Nurse Emergency Room Nurse
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse Emergency Room Nurse, you will be responsible for providing high-quality care to patients in emergency situations. You will work in a fast-paced environment, triaging patients, administering medication, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assessing patients' conditions and prioritizing treatment based on severity
2. Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
3. Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement care plans
4. Monitoring patients' vital signs and responding to changes in condition
5. Providing emotional support and education to patients and their families
6. Documenting patient information accurately and timely
7. Participating in emergency response teams and drills
8. Adhering to all hospital policies and procedures
9. Maintaining a clean and organized work environment
10. Continuing education to stay current on best practices and advancements in emergency medicine
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. BLS, ACLS, and PALS certification
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in emergency room nursing
4. Strong critical thinking and decision-making skills
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work under pressure and in high-stress situations
7. Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures
8. Familiarity with electronic medical records systems
