Job Title: Registered Nurse, Med-surg Adult Oncology Inpatient Unit
Job Summary:
We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse to join our Med-surg Adult Oncology Inpatient Unit. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to adult patients undergoing oncology treatment in an inpatient setting. This individual will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to ensure the best possible outcomes for our patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor and assess patients' conditions, administer medications, and provide treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborate with healthcare team members to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients
- Educate patients and their families about their diagnoses, treatment options, and self-care techniques
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of nursing care provided
- Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and safety guidelines
Qualifications and Skills:
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- BSN degree preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in oncology nursing
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards patients
