Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA), you will provide essential care and support to patients in various healthcare settings. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses to assist with daily living activities, monitor patients' health status, and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with activities of daily living, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Take and record patients' vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and heart rate.
3. Help patients with mobility and transfers, such as walking and repositioning in bed.
4. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients.
5. Assist with feeding and meal preparation, as needed.
6. Clean and sanitize patient rooms and common areas.
7. Follow care plans and protocols developed by registered nurses.
8. Report any changes in patients' condition to the nursing staff.
9. Maintain a safe and clean environment for patients.
10. Adhere to all healthcare regulations and guidelines.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of employment.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work well in a team environment.
6. Compassion and empathy for patients.
7. Physical stamina and strength to assist with patient care tasks.
8. Attention to detail and the ability to follow instructions precisely.
9. Basic medical knowledge, including understanding of vital signs and infection control practices.
10. Willingness to undergo background checks and drug screenings.
