Job Title: Short Stay Unit RN (PCU, Telemetry Nurse)
Job Summary:
As a Short Stay Unit RN (PCU, Telemetry Nurse), you will provide specialized nursing care to patients in a short stay unit, Progressive Care Unit (PCU), or telemetry unit. You will be responsible for monitoring patients' vital signs, administering medications, and collaborating with the medical team to create individualized care plans for each patient.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Monitor patients' cardiac rhythms and vital signs
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Provide education and support to patients and their families
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Document patient care accurately and timely
- Respond to emergencies and provide critical care as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in PCU or telemetry nursing
- Strong critical thinking and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) preferred
