Job Title: Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Long Term Care CNA, you will provide essential daily care to patients in long term care facilities. Your responsibilities will include assisting patients with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and providing emotional support to residents and their families.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist patients with personal care tasks, such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Help patients with mobility and transferring to ensure their safety and comfort.
3. Monitor and record vital signs, such as temperature, blood pressure, and pulse.
4. Provide emotional support and companionship to patients, helping to improve their overall well-being.
5. Assist with feeding and meal preparation according to patients' dietary requirements.
6. Collaborate with nurses and other healthcare professionals to create individualized care plans for patients.
7. Maintain a clean and organized environment for patients, ensuring their comfort and safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Completion of a state-approved CNA training program.
3. Current CNA certification in the state of employment.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Compassionate and caring attitude towards patients.
7. Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions.
8. Physical stamina to lift and move patients when needed.
