Job Title: Registered Nurse (CVOR)
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in the Cardiovascular Operating Room (CVOR), you will be responsible for assisting surgeons during surgical procedures related to the heart, lungs, and blood vessels. You will help prepare the operating room, sterilize instruments, and monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to ensure their safety and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with surgeons and other healthcare team members to plan and coordinate patient care in the CVOR
- Assist in surgical procedures by passing instruments and supplies to the surgeon
- Monitor patient vital signs and anesthesia levels during surgery
- Prepare patients for surgery by cleaning and draping the surgical site
- Maintain a sterile environment in the operating room
- Provide post-operative care to patients, including monitoring recovery and administering medications
- Document patient information and nursing care accurately and thoroughly
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a CVOR setting
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Proficient in using medical equipment and technology
