Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing daily care and assistance to elderly or disabled residents. Your primary goal will be to help residents maintain their quality of life and independence while ensuring their physical and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating
- Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes in residents' health to nursing staff
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Help residents with mobility issues and assist them with walking and transferring
- Follow individual care plans and ensure residents receive proper medication and treatment
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and healthcare team members
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active CNA certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience in a long term care setting preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Physical stamina to perform tasks such as lifting and assisting residents with mobility
