Job Description

Job Title: Oncology Nurse, Infusion RN

Job Summary:

The Oncology Nurse, Infusion RN is responsible for providing specialized nursing care to cancer patients undergoing infusion treatments. They work closely with oncologists, pharmacists, and other healthcare professionals to administer intravenous medications, monitor patient responses, and provide education and support to patients and their families.

Responsibilities and Duties:

- Administer chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and other infusion treatments

- Monitor patients for side effects and provide symptom management

- Educate patients and families on treatment plans and self-care

- Assess patient needs and develop individualized care plans

- Collaborate with healthcare team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes

- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records

- Stay informed about the latest advancements in oncology and infusion therapies

- Provide emotional support to patients and families coping with cancer diagnosis

Qualifications and Skills:

- Registered Nurse (RN) license

- Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred

- Certification in Oncology Nursing (OCN) highly desired

- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in oncology or infusion nursing

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills

- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-stress environment

- Knowledge of chemotherapy administration and side effects
