Job Title: Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse
Job Summary:
As a Labor & Delivery Registered Nurse, you will provide care and support to women during childbirth. You will monitor the mother and baby's vital signs, administer medications, assist with labor and delivery procedures, and educate new mothers on postpartum care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor mother and baby's vital signs during labor and delivery
2. Assist with labor and delivery procedures, such as epidurals and c-sections
3. Administer medications as needed
4. Educate new mothers on breastfeeding, infant care, and postpartum recovery
5. Assist doctors and midwives with delivering babies
6. Provide emotional support to mothers and their families during childbirth
7. Document patient care and progress in medical records
8. Work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best outcomes for mother and baby
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
3. Experience in labor and delivery nursing
4. BLS and ACLS certification
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work well under pressure
7. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
8. Attention to detail and accuracy
