Job Title: Registered Nurse First Assistant
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA), you will work alongside surgeons in the operating room, providing direct surgical assistance, and ensuring the safety and well-being of patients throughout the procedure. Your expertise in surgical techniques and patient care will be crucial in supporting the surgical team and facilitating successful surgical outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist surgeons during surgical procedures by handling instruments, suturing incisions, and providing sterile supplies
- Monitor patients before, during, and after surgery to assess their condition and provide appropriate care
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to coordinate patient care and ensure a smooth surgical process
- Maintain accurate documentation of patient information, surgical procedures, and post-operative care
- Adhere to hospital policies and procedures to ensure the highest standards of patient safety and quality care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RNFA certification
- Current RN license in the state of practice
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a perioperative nurse
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures and techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
