Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse to join our Med Surg Adult unit. The successful candidate will provide quality care to adult patients in a medical surgical setting. This role requires strong critical thinking skills, the ability to multitask, and a compassionate approach to patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and evaluate adult patients' medical conditions
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor patient progress and update medical records
- Educate patients and their families on diseases, treatments, and self-care strategies
- Maintain a safe and clean patient environment
- Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a medical surgical setting
- BLS certification
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures
- Attention to detail and accuracy
