Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN), Operating Room
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Operating Room team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for providing quality patient care before, during, and after surgical procedures. This individual must have a strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills to work effectively with the surgical team and patients.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assess and monitor patients before, during, and after surgical procedures
- Assist surgeons during operations by providing necessary instruments and supplies
- Administer medications and anesthesia as directed by the surgical team
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Maintain a clean and sterile operating room environment
- Educate patients and their families on post-operative care instructions
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in nursing preferred
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an operating room setting
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment
