Job Title: Orthopaedics Registered Nurse (RN)
Job Summary:
As an Orthopaedics RN, you will be responsible for providing quality nursing care to patients with musculoskeletal issues and injuries. You will work closely with orthopaedic surgeons and other healthcare professionals to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct assessments of patients with orthopaedic conditions.
2. Develop and implement nursing care plans.
3. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
4. Monitor patients before, during, and after orthopaedic procedures.
5. Educate patients and their families about orthopaedic conditions and treatments.
6. Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes.
7. Document patient care accurately and timely.
8. Assist with post-operative rehabilitation.
9. Provide emotional support to patients and their families.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license.
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred.
3. Previous experience in orthopaedics nursing is a plus.
4. Strong clinical assessment skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
7. Understanding of orthopaedic procedures and treatments.
8. BLS certification required.
9. ACLS certification preferred.
