Job Summary:
As an LPN in Long Term Care (LTC), you will be responsible for providing nursing care to residents in a long-term care facility. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure the overall health and well-being of the residents. Your compassion, attention to detail, and clinical skills will be crucial in enhancing the quality of life for those under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Monitor and report changes in residents' conditions to healthcare team
- Assist residents with daily activities, such as bathing, dressing, and meals
- Provide emotional support to residents and their families
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and update care plans
- Adhere to all facility policies and procedures to ensure resident safety
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid LPN license in the state of practice
- Previous experience in long-term care or geriatric nursing preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards residents
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Basic computer skills for documentation and charting
