Job Title: Radiation Oncology Physicist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Radiation Oncology Physicist to join our team. The Radiation Oncology Physicist will be responsible for ensuring the safe and accurate delivery of radiation therapy treatments to cancer patients. This individual will work closely with oncologists and radiation therapists to develop treatment plans, calibrate equipment, and monitor patient progress throughout the course of treatment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Collaborate with oncologists and radiation therapists to create individualized treatment plans for cancer patients
- Perform quality assurance tests on radiation therapy equipment to ensure accurate and safe delivery of treatment
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records of treatment plans and patient progress
- Provide education and training to staff on radiation safety protocols
- Stay current on the latest developments in radiation oncology technology and treatment techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Master's or Doctorate degree in Medical Physics or a related field
- Certified by the American Board of Radiology in Therapeutic Medical Physics
- Experience working in a clinical radiation oncology setting
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
- Knowledge of radiation safety regulations and protocols
