Job Title: Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU)
Job Summary:
The Intensive Care / Coronary Nurse (ICU) provides specialized nursing care for patients in critical condition, particularly those requiring intensive monitoring and support. They work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to deliver high-quality care and manage complex medical conditions.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Monitor and assess the condition of critically ill patients in the ICU.
2. Administer medications, treatments, and procedures as directed by physicians.
3. Implement and evaluate patient care plans to ensure optimal outcomes.
4. Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to coordinate patient care.
5. Provide emotional support and education to patients and their families.
6. Maintain accurate patient records and documentation.
7. Respond quickly and effectively to emergency situations.
8. Adhere to all hospital policies and procedures to ensure patient safety.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Must be a licensed Registered Nurse (RN) in the state of practice.
2. Minimum of 2 years of experience in ICU or coronary care nursing.
3. BLS and ACLS certification required.
4. Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
6. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and high-stress environment.
7. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
