Job Title: Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (LTC CNA)
Job Summary:
As a Long-Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant, you will provide essential care and support to residents in long-term care facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to assist residents with activities of daily living and ensure their comfort and well-being.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with personal hygiene, including bathing, grooming, and toileting
2. Help residents with meals, feeding, and hydration
3. Provide assistance with mobility and transfers
4. Monitor and record vital signs and report any changes to the nursing staff
5. Support residents with medication reminders and administration
6. Engage residents in physical and mental exercises as directed by the healthcare team
7. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
8. Offer emotional support and companionship to residents
9. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide holistic care to residents
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Current certification as a Nursing Assistant (CNA) in the state of employment
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Previous experience in a long-term care facility preferred
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
5. Compassionate and patient demeanor
6. Ability to work effectively as part of a team
7. Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
8. Physical stamina to assist residents with their daily needs
9. CPR certification is a plus
10. Ability to pass background check and drug screening
