Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) - Nephrology Clinic
Job Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse to join our Nephrology Clinic team. The LPN will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with kidney-related conditions. The successful candidate will work closely with the healthcare team to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate patient care in a fast-paced clinic setting.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with kidney diseases.
2. Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
3. Assist in the maintenance and monitoring of dialysis treatments.
4. Educate patients and their families on kidney disease management.
5. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans.
6. Monitor patient vital signs and update medical records accurately.
7. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients undergoing kidney-related treatments.
8. Adhere to infection control and safety protocols to ensure a safe clinic environment.
9. Assist in coordinating patient care and scheduling appointments.
10. Participate in staff meetings and training sessions to stay current on nephrology practices.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Graduation from an accredited LPN program.
2. Current LPN license in the state of practice.
3. Prior experience in nephrology or dialysis clinic preferred.
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work effectively in a team environment.
6. Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
7. Ability to prioritize and multitask in a busy clinic setting.
8. Knowledge of nephrology treatment options and patient care best practices.
9. CPR certification required.
10. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
