Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) Acute Care - Med-Surg Adult
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse in Acute Care - Med-Surg Adult, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive nursing care to adult patients in a hospital setting. You will assess patient conditions, administer medications, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and ensure the highest level of patient care and safety.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assess and monitor patient conditions, administer medications, and coordinate patient care
2. Collaborate with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
3. Educate patients and their families about health conditions and treatment options
4. Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
5. Respond to medical emergencies and provide timely interventions
6. Ensure compliance with hospital policies and procedures
7. Participate in quality improvement initiatives and staff development activities
8. Provide emotional support and comfort to patients and families
9. Maintain a clean and safe work environment
10. Stay current with advancements in nursing practices and technologies
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Valid RN license in the state of practice
2. Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) preferred
3. Minimum of 2 years of experience in acute care, preferably in a med-surg adult setting
4. Current BLS and ACLS certifications
5. Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
6. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
7. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
8. Strong attention to detail and accuracy
9. Ability to prioritize and multitask effectively
10. Proficiency in electronic health record systems
