Job Title: Long Term Care (LTC) Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Job Summary: The Long Term Care Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) plays a crucial role in providing daily care and support to residents in long term care facilities. CNAs assist with activities of daily living, monitoring patient vital signs, and ensuring the comfort and well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist residents with bathing, grooming, and dressing
2. Help residents with meals and ensure they are receiving proper nutrition
3. Monitor and record patient vital signs
4. Assist with transferring residents from beds to wheelchairs and vice versa
5. Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
6. Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
7. Follow care plans and instructions from nursing staff
8. Report any changes in resident condition to the nursing team
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) license
2. High school diploma or equivalent
3. Experience working in long term care facilities preferred
4. Strong communication and interpersonal skills
5. Compassionate and patient demeanor
6. Ability to work in a team environment
7. Basic understanding of medical terminology
8. Ability to lift and move patients safely
