Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Perioperative Operating Room
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Charge Nurse in the Perioperative Operating Room. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in perioperative nursing, excellent leadership skills, and the ability to effectively manage a team of nurses and support staff.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Coordinate and oversee the daily operations of the Perioperative Operating Room
- Provide direct patient care, including pre-operative assessment, intra-operative care, and post-operative monitoring
- Supervise and mentor nursing staff, ensuring compliance with policies and procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare providers to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Assist with staff scheduling, performance evaluations, and staff development initiatives
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and ensure adherence to regulatory standards
Qualifications and Skills:
- Valid RN license in the state of practice
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing preferred
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in perioperative nursing
- Previous leadership experience preferred
- Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- BLS and ACLS certification required
