Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant - Long Term Care (CNA LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing basic care to residents, including assisting with activities of daily living, monitoring vital signs, and reporting any changes in condition to the nursing team. You will play a crucial role in maintaining the overall well-being and comfort of residents under your care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, and grooming
- Monitor and record vital signs, weights, and intake/output
- Assist with mobility and positioning of residents to prevent pressure ulcers
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Follow care plans and report any changes in resident's condition to the nursing team
- Keep resident rooms clean and organized
- Assist with feeding and meal preparation as needed
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of an accredited CNA training program
- Current certification as a Nursing Assistant in the state of employment
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team
- Compassionate and patient demeanor
- Basic understanding of medical terminology and procedures
