Job title: Physician - Hospitalist
Job Summary:
As a Physician - Hospitalist, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive medical care to patients admitted to the hospital. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to diagnose and treat acute and chronic illnesses, coordinate patient care, and ensure optimal outcomes.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Admitting and managing patients in the hospital setting
2. Performing comprehensive physical exams and diagnostic tests
3. Developing and implementing treatment plans
4. Communicating with patients, families, and other healthcare providers
5. Collaborating with specialists to provide coordinated care
6. Conducting rounds and participating in case conferences
7. Providing education and support to patients and their families
8. Documenting patient care in electronic medical records
9. Participating in quality improvement initiatives and research projects
Qualifications and Skills:
1. Medical degree from an accredited school
2. Board certification in Internal Medicine or Family Medicine
3. Valid state medical license
4. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based medicine
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
7. Commitment to patient-centered care
8. Ability to work effectively in a team
9. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
10. Experience in hospital medicine is preferred
