Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to assist surgeons during medical procedures in our operating room. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up sterile equipment, ensuring a safe surgical environment, and assisting in surgical procedures as needed.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Prepare operating room for surgical procedures
- Sterilize and maintain surgical instruments
- Assist surgical team with gowning and gloving
- Anticipate surgeon's needs during procedures
- Maintain sterile field throughout surgery
- Assist with patient positioning and draping
- Transfer patients to and from the operating room
- Stock and organize operating room supplies
- Follow proper protocols for handling hazardous materials
- Participate in ongoing education and training
Qualifications and Skills:
- Certification as a Surgical Technologist
- Strong attention to detail
- Ability to work well under pressure
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and equipment
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- BLS certification
