Job Summary:
The Infusion Tech - Pharmacy Technician is responsible for assisting pharmacists in preparing and dispensing medications for patients in an infusion therapy setting. They ensure the accurate preparation and administration of medications to patients receiving infusion therapy.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Assist pharmacists in preparing and compounding sterile medications for infusion therapy.
2. Instruct patients on the proper administration of medications and monitor their progress.
3. Maintain a clean and organized work environment to ensure the safe handling of medications.
4. Collaborate with healthcare providers to ensure proper patient care and medication management.
5. Perform quality control checks on medications and equipment to ensure compliance with regulatory standards.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. High school diploma or equivalent.
2. Certified Pharmacy Technician (CPhT) preferred.
3. Experience in sterile compounding and infusion therapy.
4. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
5. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
6. Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively.
