Job Title: Medical Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Medical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various laboratory tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. The role involves analyzing samples, interpreting results, and maintaining accurate documentation to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform laboratory tests such as chemical, hematological, immunologic, and microbiological analyses
- Prepare specimens and samples for analysis
- Operate and maintain laboratory equipment
- Interpret and analyze test results
- Ensure quality control and compliance with regulatory standards
- Maintain accurate records of test results and patient information
- Collaborate with healthcare providers to discuss test results and patient care
- Troubleshoot equipment and test discrepancies
- Stay current on advances in medical technology and laboratory techniques
Qualifications and Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Technologist (MT) or Medical Laboratory Scientist (MLS)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
- Ability to work well under pressure and in a fast-paced environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
- Familiarity with medical terminology and healthcare practices
