Job Title: Registered Nurse (RN) - Telemetry Med-surg Adult, Floor Nurse, PCU
Job Summary:
As a Registered Nurse working in the Telemetry Med-surg Adult unit, also known as Progressive Care Unit (PCU), you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to adult patients with acute or chronic conditions. You will work closely with a multidisciplinary team to assess, monitor, and treat patients, ensuring they receive the highest quality of care possible.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assessing and monitoring patients' medical conditions and communicating with the healthcare team
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians
- Collaborating with physicians and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Educating patients and their families on their medical conditions and treatment options
- Ensuring a safe and comfortable environment for patients
- Documenting patient care activities and responses to treatments
- Adhering to hospital policies and procedures to maintain a high standard of care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in the state of practice
- BLS and ACLS certifications
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in a Telemetry Med-surg Adult or PCU setting
- Strong clinical assessment and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment
- Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
