Job Title: Travel Registered Nurse (RN) - Charge Perioperative OR
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Travel Registered Nurse (RN) to work as a Charge Nurse in the Perioperative Operating Room (OR) setting. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the OR, including coordinating patient care, managing staff assignments, and ensuring optimal patient outcomes. This position requires strong leadership skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Provide direct patient care in the OR, including preoperative assessment, intraoperative care, and postoperative monitoring
- Coordinate patient flow and staff assignments to ensure efficient operations
- Act as a resource and mentor to staff nurses, assisting with clinical decision-making and problem-solving
- Collaborate with physicians, surgeons, and other healthcare professionals to develop and implement patient care plans
- Monitor and maintain quality assurance standards in the OR, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Participate in staff education and training programs to promote professional development and clinical excellence
Qualifications and Skills:
- Active RN license in good standing
- BLS and ACLS certification
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in perioperative nursing
- Previous experience in a charge nurse or leadership role preferred
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritize and multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of surgical procedures and operating room protocols
- Flexibility to travel and work in various healthcare settings
