Job Title: Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Medical Laboratory Technician/Medical Technologist to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for conducting various tests and procedures to assist in the diagnosis and treatment of patients. This role requires strong analytical and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to work efficiently and accurately in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Perform various laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to blood counts, urinalysis, chemistry panels, and microbiology cultures
- Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure proper calibration and functionality
- Follow strict protocols and procedures to ensure accurate and reliable test results
- Analyze and interpret test results, and report findings to healthcare providers
- Assist in the development and implementation of new testing procedures and protocols
- Adhere to quality control standards and ensure compliance with all laboratory regulations and guidelines
- Maintain accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure the highest quality patient care
Qualifications and Skills:
- Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
- Certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician (MLT) or Medical Technologist (MT) required
- Strong understanding of laboratory procedures, protocols, and equipment
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and laboratory regulations
