Job Title: Histotechnologist - HTL (ASCP) Required
Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Histotechnologist with an ASCP certification to join our team. The Histotechnologist will be responsible for preparing tissue samples for pathological examination under the supervision of pathologists, performing various laboratory tests, and ensuring accuracy in diagnostic results.
Responsibilities and Duties:
1. Prepare tissue samples for microscopic analysis using various techniques such as fixation, embedding, sectioning, and staining.
2. Perform quality control procedures to ensure accuracy and precision of test results.
3. Maintain laboratory equipment and supplies in optimal condition.
4. Assist pathologists in interpreting results and communicating findings to medical staff.
5. Adhere to all safety protocols and regulations in the laboratory environment.
6. Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely diagnostic services.
7. Keep accurate records of all tests performed and results obtained.
Qualifications and Skills:
1. ASCP certification as a Histotechnologist - HTL is required.
2. Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field.
3. Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
6. Knowledge of laboratory procedures and safety protocols.
7. Previous experience in a clinical laboratory setting is preferred.
