Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) - Long Term Care (LTC)
Job Summary:
As a Certified Nursing Assistant in a Long Term Care facility, you will be responsible for providing direct patient care and assistance with daily living activities to residents. You will work under the supervision of registered nurses and licensed practical nurses to ensure the comfort and well-being of residents.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and feeding
- Take and record vital signs
- Assist with mobility and transportation of residents
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents
- Document all care provided and report any changes in residents' condition to nursing staff
Qualifications and Skills:
- High school diploma or GED
- Completion of a state-approved CNA training program
- Current CNA certification
- Good communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work as part of a team
- Compassion and empathy for elderly and disabled individuals
