Labor and Delivery Nurse (RN) – Postpartum Unit

✅ 📝 Job Description:

We are seeking a compassionate and experienced Registered Nurse (RN) to join our Labor and Delivery/Postpartum unit. The ideal candidate will be skilled in providing high-quality, patient-centered care to mothers and newborns during labor, delivery, and the recovery period.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor and assess mothers during labor and delivery

• Assist in the delivery process, including C-sections and emergencies

• Provide postnatal care and education to mothers and families

• Administer medications and monitor vital signs

• Collaborate with OB/GYNs, midwives, anesthesiologists, and pediatricians

• Maintain patient records and ensure accurate documentation

• Offer emotional support and education regarding newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery

Requirements:

• Valid RN license (State-specific)

• BLS and NRP certifications (ACLS preferred)

• Minimum 1–2 years of experience in L&D or postpartum nursing

• Strong communication and interpersonal skills

• Ability to stay calm in high-pressure/emergency situations
