We are seeking a qualified and motivated Medical Physicist to join our Radiation Oncology or Diagnostic Imaging department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the safe and effective delivery of radiation therapy and diagnostic procedures, maintaining equipment standards, and supporting the clinical team with expert-level physics knowledge.

The ideal candidate will bring strong technical skills, a deep understanding of radiation safety, and a passion for patient-centered care.


đź›  Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform calibration, maintenance, and quality assurance (QA) of radiation therapy and diagnostic imaging equipment

  • Develop and implement patient-specific treatment plans in collaboration with radiation oncologists and dosimetrists

  • Ensure compliance with state, federal, and institutional radiation safety regulations

  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of linear accelerators, CT simulators, and other imaging devices

  • Provide physics consultation for complex treatment techniques, such as IMRT, VMAT, SRS/SBRT, and brachytherapy

  • Participate in the commissioning of new technology, including software and hardware

  • Maintain documentation for audits, accreditations, and regulatory inspections

  • Support and educate clinical staff regarding radiation physics and safety practices

  • Assist in clinical research and protocol development when applicable

  • Supervise and train junior physicists or interns (if applicable)


âś… Qualifications:

  • Master’s or Ph.D. in Medical Physics, Physics, or a related discipline

  • Completion of a CAMPEP-accredited residency program preferred

  • ABR (American Board of Radiology) Certification or eligibility required

  • Minimum 2–5 years of clinical experience in medical physics (preferred)

  • Experience with treatment planning systems (e.g., Eclipse, RayStation), QA tools, and R&V systems (e.g., ARIA, MOSAIQ)

  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills
