We are seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Medical Assistant (MA) to support physicians and nursing staff in a Medical Oncology setting. The ideal candidate will assist with patient care, clinical documentation, and coordination of oncology-related visits while ensuring excellent patient experience.
Assist oncologists and clinical staff during patient visits
Take and record vital signs, patient history, and symptoms
Prepare patients for exams, procedures, and treatment discussions
Support chemotherapy/infusion workflow coordination (as applicable)
Perform phlebotomy, injections, EKG, and specimen collection (as per scope)
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR/EHR systems
Schedule appointments, follow-ups, and referrals
Provide patient education and support under supervision
Ensure infection control and safety protocols are followed
Maintain exam rooms, supplies, and equipment
Certified Medical Assistant (CMA/RMA) preferred
Experience in a clinical or hospital setting
Strong knowledge of medical terminology and clinical workflows
Proficiency with EMR/EHR systems
Excellent communication and patient-handling skills
Prior experience in Oncology / Hematology / Infusion center
Knowledge of chemotherapy-related patient care workflows
Experience working with cancer patients and families
Strong multitasking and coordination abilities
1β3 years of Medical Assistant experience preferred
Oncology clinic experience is a plus
