The Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Procedure in CHS/Medicine / Med-Surg Adult is responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients recovering from medical procedures. This role focuses on post-procedure monitoring, pain management, patient education, and ensuring safe recovery and transition of care.
Monitor patients post-procedure, including vital signs and recovery status
Assess and manage pain, discomfort, and potential complications
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed
Provide wound care and monitor surgical or procedural sites
Educate patients on recovery plans, medications, and discharge instructions
Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols
Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges
Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed
Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license
BLS (Basic Life Support) certification
2–5 years of experience in Med-Surg, post-procedure, or inpatient care
Strong clinical assessment and patient monitoring
Knowledge of post-procedure and Med-Surg care
Pain management and wound care
Critical thinking and quick decision-making
Communication and patient education
Attention to detail and documentation accuracy
Hospital Med-Surg / post-procedure unit
Fast-paced inpatient setting
Rotational shifts, including nights and weekends
Experience in post-anesthesia or recovery care
ACLS certification (preferred)
Familiarity with EMR systems
