Job Title: RN – Post Procedure (CHS/Medicine / Med-Surg Adult)

Primary Skill: Medical-Surgical Nursing

Job Summary:

The Registered Nurse (RN) – Post Procedure in CHS/Medicine / Med-Surg Adult is responsible for providing high-quality care to adult patients recovering from medical procedures. This role focuses on post-procedure monitoring, pain management, patient education, and ensuring safe recovery and transition of care.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor patients post-procedure, including vital signs and recovery status

• Assess and manage pain, discomfort, and potential complications

• Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments as prescribed

• Provide wound care and monitor surgical or procedural sites

• Educate patients on recovery plans, medications, and discharge instructions

• Coordinate with physicians and multidisciplinary teams for patient care

• Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems

• Ensure adherence to infection control and patient safety protocols

• Assist with patient admissions, transfers, and discharges

• Respond to changes in patient condition and escalate when needed

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Nursing

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) license

• BLS (Basic Life Support) certification

• 2–5 years of experience in Med-Surg, post-procedure, or inpatient care

Work Environment:

• Hospital Med-Surg / post-procedure unit

• Fast-paced inpatient setting

• Rotational shifts, including nights and weekends

Preferred Experience:

• Experience in post-anesthesia or recovery care

• ACLS certification (preferred)

• Familiarity with EMR systems
