We are seeking a flexible and highly skilled Med-Surg Adult / Float Pool Registered Nurse (RN) to provide safe, high-quality patient care across multiple inpatient units. The Float Pool RN will support staffing needs, manage diverse patient populations, and adapt quickly to different clinical environments while maintaining excellent clinical standards.
Provide direct nursing care to adult patients in Medical-Surgical and other inpatient units
Perform patient assessments, monitor vital signs, and document clinical changes
Administer medications, IV fluids, and treatments per physician orders
Manage post-operative care, wound care, and discharge planning
Collaborate with physicians, case managers, and interdisciplinary teams
Respond to patient emergencies and initiate appropriate interventions
Educate patients and families on treatment plans, medications, and recovery
Maintain accurate documentation in EMR systems
Float to assigned units as needed while following unit-specific workflows
Ensure compliance with patient safety, infection prevention, and hospital policies
Active Registered Nurse (RN) license (state-specific)
1–2+ years of recent Adult Med-Surg nursing experience
Strong clinical assessment, time management, and multitasking skills
Ability to adapt quickly and work independently in different units
Float Pool experience in a hospital setting
Telemetry experience a plus
BLS required, ACLS preferred
Experience with EMR (Epic/Cerner/Meditech)
